Story link: Axis holds 46% of EMEA network camera market by Jan Harris

According to a new report from IMS Research, Axis Communications has boosted its share of the Europe, Middle East and Africa network camera market, from 42 to 46 per cent.

In the report’s security cameras category, Axis is ranked as the number three brand within EMEA, the same as last year, but the company’s overall market share has increased from 5.8 per cent to 8.3 per cent.

The report suggests that the combined worldwide market for network cameras will maintain an annual growth rate of 40 per cent.

Axis was ranked as the number four brand within EMEA from all vendors that provide video surveillance equipment, including digital and analogue security equipment, recording solutions and video servers/encoders. The company was placed seventh place in the previous report.

Axis operates worldwide, with offices in 18 countries. The company aims to further strengthen and develop its position in the network video solutions market, driving the technology shift from analog to digital network-based security solutions
