Bosch enhances VMS with IntuiKey CCTV keyboard

Story link: Bosch enhances VMS with IntuiKey CCTV keyboard by Jan Harris

Bosch has enhanced its Video Management system with the introduction of an IntuiKey CCTV keyboard.

The Bosch Video Management System VMS is an enterprise IP video security solution which works with Bosch CCTV products, allowing users to manage digital video, audio and data across any IP network.

The system allows users to view both live and recording images at any time, from any location.

The addition of Bosch IntuiKey CCTV keyboard to Version 1.1 of the system significantly increases its functionality.

The keyboard can be connected to an IP decoder, allowing cameras to be selected on all analog monitors, and providing camera sequence and full PTZ control.

The keyboard can also be connected to an operator workstation in order to select cameras displayed on the workstation, control the video display layout, and control video playback with the keyboard joystick.

Version 1.1 also includes a Dual Authorization on Login facility. This provides special privileges when two operators log in together - to look at scenes in restricted areas for example, which one of the operators would not normally be permitted to view.

When the operators log out, the special privileges no longer apply.

A further enhancement to Version 1.1 is the ability to integrate with Bosch’s Building Integration System (BIS). This allows the Video Management system to show live video from specific cameras if an alarm is triggered by the BIS.
