Intamac demos home monitoring systems

Story link: Intamac demos home monitoring systems by Jan Harris

Intamac Systems Ltd has demonstrated the fruits of its collaboration with video solutions company Thomson, at the Broadband World Forum in Brussels, Belgium.

Intamac brought its interactive, web-based, home monitoring and control solution to the event.

The new wireless broadband solution can be installed in the home by the user, to provide peace of that their home is being monitored while they are away.

The solution also provides an opportunity for operators and service providers to leverage the value of broadband through a value added service.

Intamac’s solution uses Thomson’s open SW architecture, allowing a range of home devices to be networked.

Events can be reported to the user via VoIP and DECT phones.

The system has a range of applications, including domestic security, environmental management, and monitoring of the elderly.

Intamac’s founder and CEO Kevin Meagher said, “There is an exciting market for bundled services and our next generation of products give consumers exciting new services that exploit the benefits of broadband and the home network. Service providers benefit from increased revenue and reduced churn.”
