North Shields company 2020 Vision Systems has recently obtained a contract with the Wakefield Council to provide and maintain the CCTV surveillance system that is used throughout the Yorkshire councils of Pontefract, Castleford, and Wakefield.
2020 Vision Systems will be responsible for handling and maintaining 166 analogue CCTV cameras through a central control room that is responsible for the safety of over 32,000 people in the council’s area.
The managing director of the company, Peter Houlis, said that due to its solid track record and a great deal of experience working in the public sector with CCTV cameras, it is breaking the trend of the recession by securing new major contracts on an almost monthly basis.
CCTV manager of the Wakefield Council, David Pollington, stated that Vision 2020 was chosen for its excellent technical record and past demonstrations of its ability to provide specialised services for other contracts in the area.
2020 Vision was founded in 1992 and is known for providing specialised services in regards to CCTV camera systems, access control, remote site monitoring, and concierge services.
The contract starts in June and is good for the next four years with Wakefield Council at which point it is renewable.
