Complus Teltronic Ltd, which is based in Thaxted, Essex, is changing its name to Commend UK Ltd, with effect from 1st January 2009.

The company was formed in July 1999 through the merger of Complus Lifts Ltd, the UK distributor for Commend International, and Teltronic Communications Ltd.

The merged company stopped manufacturing Teltronic intercoms, and marketed Commend intercoms exclusively.

Its products can be integrated with CCTV systems to provide ‘talking’ CCTV cameras which allow the operator to communicate with members of the public.

It also manufactures housings and control panels designed to meet specific customer requirements.

Commend acquired a majority shareholding in Complus Teltronic in May 2008, and it was then decided to rebrand the company as Commend UK Ltd, reflecting the strength of the Commend brand.

Commend International specialises in digital and IP technology.

Its intercoms are designed to meet complex communication requirements.
