Dedicated Micros adds analytic capabilities to DVRs

Story link: Dedicated Micros adds analytic capabilities to DVRs by Jan Harris

Dedicated Micros unveiled upgrades to its SD range of DVRs, at IFSEC 2007.

The company has added ‘Normal, Medium and Low’ default recording settings to the range, together with an Analytics Capability not previously available in the mid-range CCTV market.

The new ‘Normal, Medium and Low’ recording options are designed to support consistent off-the-shelf recording performance per camera, no matter how many cameras are installed on the system.

The units are pre-configured for guaranteed storage of either 30 or 60 days.

The new developments help provide a CCTV solution that does not require an extensive set-up, but which provides a uniform recording duration and smooth motion video on all cameras.

The ‘Normal’ setting provides continuous 5 pps MPEG-4 recording on all cameras, on all channel variants. For ‘Medium’ the equivalent is 2 pps and 1pps for ‘Low’.

Analytics packages are available through a software and hardware licence upgrade from D-Tec, Dedicated Micros’ sister company.
