Norbain offers Active Tampering Alarm feature

Story link: Norbain offers Active Tampering Alarm feature by Jan Harris

Norbain SD Ltd, a distributor of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Detection equipment, is now offering Active Tampering Alarm, a new feature from Axis.

Active Tampering Alarm is an intelligent video function, which is integrated into network cameras.

It automatically alerts security staff if a camera in manipulated or re-positioned in any way. It also immediately notifies staff if the camera is adjusted out of focus or obscured.

The feature is particularly useful on systems with a large number of cameras, when a considerable period of time can elapse before tampering is noticed.

It is also ideal when the camera is located in an environment where there is the potential for vandalism, such as schools and public areas, and for environments where the camera is exposed to harsh weather conditions, vibration or dirt.

Axis has integrated Active Tamper detection into its existing products, without compromising their performance.
