Sony launches new mini-dome cameras

Story link: Sony launches new mini-dome cameras by Jan Harris

Sony has extended its monitoring range with the launch of four new mini-dome analogue cameras - the SSC-CD45P, SSC-CD49P, SSC-CD75P and SSC77P.

The cameras benefit from a highly sensitive imager, which allows clear and detailed images to be captured in a range of environmental and light conditions.

They also feature the Sony-patented Ball-Joint Lens Mount mechanism. This means that the 3.6x zoom and auto-iris vari-focal lenses can be rotated in any direction.

Sony has also expanded its intelligent range of monitoring cameras with the introduction of two new IP mini-dome cameras.

The SNC-DF50P and SNC-DF80P IP cameras feature built-in intelligent camera functions, including Intelligent Motion Detection (IMD) and Intelligent Object Detection (IOD).

With these features the system can determine what images should be recorded or when an alarm should be triggered.

The SNC-DF50P features Sony’s DynaView technology, which gives dynamic range 128 times that of a conventional camera. This make the camera ideal for use in extremely high-contrast, indoor environments, such as reception areas.

The SNC-DF80, a vandal-resistant network camera, includes /3-type CCD SuperExwave technology which provides monitoring with high sensitivity levels and clear images.

Sony has launched the cameras to coincide with the expansion of its Independent Software Vendor Programme, under which the company’s IP cameras can be integrated with software vendors’ solutions.
