QED’s Spiderex stops spider infestation

Story link: QED’s Spiderex stops spider infestation by Jan Harris

Security equipment specialist, QED, has developed an aerosol spray to solve the problem of spiders building their webs on CCTV equipment.

Spiders are attracted to the warm areas around CCTV camera housings and PIR detectors, and their webs can trigger false alarms, or obscure the CCTV camera’s view.

QED’s new product, called Spiderex, is part of the company’s Midas brand.

It is a clear spray, which will deter spiders for up to 8 months, reducing maintenance costs and helped to avoid false alarms being triggered.

According to QED’s Marketing Manager, Matt Byrom, “even if Spiderex was to stop one service call it would have paid for itself many times over”.

Spiderex is available from www.spiderex.co.uk
