MOBOTIX AG, a system provider for high-resolution and network-based video security systems, has announced the achieved financial results for the first six months of the fiscal year 2009/10 ended December 31, 2009.

Despite persisting difficulties in the general economic environment, MOBOTIX AG was able to increase its revenue by approximately 9% to €23.9m in the first six months of fiscal year 2009/10 (prior year: €22.0m).

This was due in particular to the successful product launch of the Q24 camera line, the Mx2wire technology as well as the growing export business.

Profitability continues to be at an extraordinarily high level with an EBIT margin of 19.5% and an EBITDA margin of 23.3%.

Net income for the period amounted to €3.2 million, resulting in earnings per share of €0.72 (prior year: €0.85).

In the second quarter (October 1 – December 31, 2009) of the current fiscal year, MOBOTIX AG’s sales amounted to €13.3m (previous year: €11.7m) corresponding to a growth of about 13.8% compared with the same period of the previous year.

The EBITDA of the last three months reached €3.1m (previous year: €3.0m), resulting in an EBITDA margin of 24.5%.

The EBIT in the second quarter of the fiscal year reached previous year’s value of €2.7m, resulting in an EBIT margin of 20.9%.

MOBOTIX AG remains optimistic that its successful development will continue on a sustained basis in the future.
