Derwent introduces night-time surveillance products

Story link: Derwent introduces night-time surveillance products by Jan Harris

Derwent Systems Ltd of Cramlington, has launched AEGIS Intelligent IR Illuminators for CCTV night-time surveillance.

AEGIS features Derwent’s Constant Light technology, which compensates for the degradation of LEDs over time.

AEGIS is an LED based IR illuminator and therefore subject to LED degradation, which can lead to poor infrared performance, grainy snowy images and reduced illumination range.

However, the inclusion of Constant Light technology provides a constant level of lighting performance throughout the life of the illuminator. This performance is guaranteed for five years.

The Illuminators are designed for ease of installation, with a 12V DC / 24V AC power supply unit (PSU) within the IR head. This eliminates the need for unsightly PSU boxes.

AEGIS illuminators also feature Derwent’s Black Diamond technology. This ensures High-Fidelity Even Illumination across the whole scene.
