Video Surveillance Enters New Era With Universal Video Recorder

Story link: Video Surveillance Enters New Era With Universal Video Recorder by Brian Turner

SecurteX International, Inc. a US-based CCTV manufacturer, has launched the NAVS Universal Video Recorder (UVR) – the next generation of SecurteX digital video surveillance products.

NAVS Universal Video Recorder provides the flexibility to connect analog and/or IP cameras simultaneously. The system overcomes the limitations of traditional DVR and NVR systems whilst maintaining the benefits of both technologies.

NAVS (Network Advanced Video Solutions) was developed by SecurteX 5 years ago. It is a complete range of digital video recording products, from 4-camera entry-level video recorders to extra-large storage, enterprise-level systems for mission-critical applications. The system can provide DVR, NVR and UVR options on the same platform, making it a highly scalable and cost-effective solution for many environments.

The NAVS™ UVR allows users to continue to benefit from existing coax cabling and analog cameras from previous surveillance installations, while new IP cameras can be easily added by utilizing standard computer network or wireless network. If purchased in a DVR configuration, the UVR system can be easily converted to include NVR functions via a software upgrade. If purchased in a NVR configuration it can be transformed to accept analog cameras and DVR functions with an easy hardware upgrade.

The NAVS UVR Camera Management Software (CMS), allows users to monitor live and recorded video from hundreds of remote and local cameras. The NAVS™ Video Alarm Management Software (VAMS) allows active alarm response of SecurteX’s video analytics Smart Video Technology (SVT), motion detection and alarm inputs over multiple PCs or NAVS™ NOC-ONE multi-screen control centers.

The NAVS UVR will integrate with most popular POS system to link video and transaction detail into a powerful loss prevention solution. Transaction data is superimposed over video. The database allows search parameters for time, date, camera, merchandise and cash amount of sale.
