JVC extends TK-C686 PTZ dome camera series

JVC has added two new PTZ dome cameras to its TK-C686 series: the TK-C686E, an indoor camera, and the TK-C686WPE, the company’s first IP66 rated dome camera with outdoor housing.

Both cameras have a Direct Drive Motor which allows the operator to precisely operate the pan and tilt mechanism for positioning to an accuracy of 0.01 degrees.

The Direct Drive Motor also ensure that the camera can be operated silently, making it ideal for use in hospitals and other quiet environments.

Both of the cameras feature a 36x optical zoom lens with Super LoLux technology, and can be run 24/7. An active gamma function provides wide-dynamic range which enhances backlit images.

Sensitivity in very low light conditions is provided with an IR cut-off filter removal function. There is also an image stabiliser function to help ensure image clarity.

The TK-C686 series also provides intelligent features including motion detection, auto-tracking, and privacy masking.
