Sony expands network HD camera range

Story link: Sony expands network HD camera range by Jan Harris

Sony Professional Solutions Europe has announced two new, dual-stream network HD cameras, the SNC-CH140 and SNC-DH140, which should be available early next year.

The cameras support H.264, MPEG-4, and JPEG compression formats, and deliver excellent picture quality in HD resolution at 30 fps.

The new cameras feature Sony’s Exmor CMOS image sensor, which provide high-quality images even in low light conditions.

View-DR Dynamic Range technology is incorporated to allow the camera to take multiple images at different exposure settings for each required frame.

These are then used to create a single image, utilising all the information captured to create the frame.

The SNC-CH140 is a fixed network camera, while the SNC-DH140 is a mini dome network camera.
