Visimetrics supplies DVRs to London Club sites

Story link: Visimetrics supplies DVRs to London Club sites by Jan Harris

Visimetrics, a Prestwick-based digital CCTV company, is supplying its Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) to London Clubs, as part of a new surveillance system being installed at the Casino at The Empire in London.

The DVRs will be installed by London Clubs own Technical Security Department, as part of a £15m refurbishment of the 55000 sq ft casino.

The new surveillance system uses the Visimetrics FASTAR Real Time MPEG2 DVR in all gaming, reception and cash handling areas, while the VADER High Speed Time Lapse DVR records from cameras around the site’s perimeter.

Both DVRs use the Linux operating system. They provide 8 channels of Audio and Video Recording with up to 3Tb hard disk capacity, with a height of just 1U.

Footage can be transferred to Movie DVD, which can be played in any DVD player.

The Casino at The Empire installation represents Visimetrics third installation at London Clubs sites. The company’s products have previously been installed at the Rendezvous Casino in London and Manchester 235.

London Clubs is planning to open a casino in Nottingham, where a similar system is being installed.
