Wavelet Technology, the digital recording specialist, has announced the world’s first mobile hybrid DVR.
The DVR is part of Wavelet Technology’s Little Gem range of compact digital video and audio recording solutions.
The Little Gem range provides a real-time and time-lapse recording solution which can record up to eight analogue cameras at 100 ips global or a combination of analogue, megapixel and IP cameras simultaneously.
The solution features an embedded Linux design which can record multiple analogue and IP cameras under different recording conditions. The system can be activated motion detection.
Little Gem supports PAL (or NTSC) and IP data formats, allowing standard, infra-red or other specialist cameras to be recorded. Any combination of cameras can be used and the date and time are embedded.
The solution features Wavestore software, which provides a user-interface designed to be intuitive and easy to use. Users can search for a function by camera reference, event, time or date, and can view images and video, and copy them to DVD or other storage devices.
The system is deployed with a LAN, WAN or wireless interface, allowing live and archive video to be viewed and downloaded remotely, via the free Wavestore viewer software.
A smaller IP only version is available, without the analogue compression card. This is ideal for applications which require a compact and unobtrusive recording capability, without compromising performance.
The Little Gem solution operates from a single 5 volt supply rated at 14 Watts, while the IP only design is rated at 8 Watts.
It is available in a choice of housings – either standard or ruggedised.
