The Tewin Bury Farm luxury hotel in Hertfordshire has upgraded its CCTV system with equipment from Genie CCTV Ltd. The new system was installed by Jones Electrical.
The hotel replaced its existing CCTV system with nine Dynapel Interceptor PTZ Domes and a CloseView tracking system from Genie.
Static Genie C5352 Digital Day/Night DNR cameras were deployed in the bar, restaurant and reception areas, with images fed back to two 16-channel Genie GDVR-160 MPEG4 digital video recorders.
Jones Electrical laid over 9 kilometres Category 5e cable, mainly in underground ducts between the farm buildings at the hotel, connecting the Dynapel PTZ Domes in preparation for the second phase of the upgrade. This will involve each Dome being fitted with a CloseView tracking system.
As the hotel has a large number of high-profile guests, the system allows static reference cameras to be retro-fitted alongside the Dynapel Domes.
This will allow the PTZ to track anything visible in the static cameras field of view, enabling vehicles to be positively identified. When the domes are not tracking they return to a preset position or continue with their programmed tour.
