Customers of Group 4 Securicor will now be able to monitor their homes, offices and premises from anywhere in the world through a new communication centre facility that uses video streaming. The centre has the capacity to implement the Nairobi Central Business District street Closed Circuit Television monitoring intended for surveillance in the city.

At the same time it would meet customers demand for re-routing detail of distress signals to their phones upon detection of any security threat.
The facility, with a high tracking accuracy, would also provide the capability to undertake fixed and mobile article tracking using GPS technology and satellite tracking services for lost vehicles and persons.
At the official launch of the facility in August 2007, Mr Ken Wood, managing director of Group 4 Securicor stated that the next generation of security monitoring and surveillance will be linked to Information Communication Technology.
