Genetec, a member of the security industry and leader in providing IP security solutions, announced that it now has Omnicast available through the IONODES SV-3200 Network Security Appliance.

This is just another effort by Genetec to continue to enhance its system of supported hardware so that so that the Genetec software is compatible with many different network security applications.

With the CCTV market turning towards IP solutions the SV-32000 is able to combine using IP video surveillance with the same simplicity that is found when using one single output source.

The system is powered by the company’s IP video surveillance solution so that it can also power other security applications from Genetec simultaneously.

The new release can manage a total of 32 cameras at the same time while also offering users eight Ethernet ports that allow for IP cameras to be directly connected into the system without the use of external hardware.

The SV-3200 system can also be integrated into any current Genetec Federation system which makes the platform one of the best solutions that is currently on the market.

President at Genetec, Pierre Racz, said that the new SV-3200 is a security appliance that is self contained so that deployment of CCTV systems is lower while also simplifying the installation process.

In other news, the largest mall in the world, the West Edmonton Mall in Canada, announced earlier this month that it will use the Genetec Synergis access control system to help simplify its CCTV security suite, so that door locations and video surveillance can be linked together.
