In response to the growing number of Gemini integrated security software users and Bold’s philosophy of continual improvement, 2010 sees the launch of a range of new product features and enhancements.

Ease of use remains the fundamental design objective, but now Gemini offers even more features and support for a wider range of third party security products with improved efficiencies for the control room.

For example, the new “instant replay” feature in the MultiView CCTV module provides the operator with the capability to quickly review video footage just watched.

In accordance with BS:8418, viewed CCTV is recorded within Gemini and any of this video can be accessed directly from the alarm handling screen or from the MultiView display.

The Gemini MultiView module provides full event management of multiple CCTV systems.

The operator can gain instant access to the logs to extract and save a video clip in Windows Media Player format, which can then be sent directly to Police or other enforcement authorities for instant review.

Also new for MultiView is on-screen point and click, variable speed pan, tilt and zoom controls, with smoother and more intuitive operator camera control.

Scheduled exception reports have been introduced for viewing isolated cameras and detection devices, saving time and expense checking each customer’s site.

The range and flexibility of customer and system reports in Gemini has always been one of its distinguishing features.

The reporting interface has now been further developed with a common advanced filtering tool.

More search fields have been added enhancing the quick look up function to create customised reports in just a few seconds.

No need for complex and expensive third party reporting tools to get at your own data.

New standard reports have been added to the existing selection and dynamic reporting further developed for obtaining data in a custom format.

While report scheduling has been a standard feature since Gemini was launched, it is now also possible to schedule log reports.

All data is output in .pdf or .csv format and automatically emailed, faxed or printed, with the client’s own branding if required. For bespoke reporting requirements, Bold still provides a customisation service.

A full functional interface for Europlex 3GS and Signet panels has been completed.

Reverse commands for these popular alarm panels are now supported in Gemini as well as alarm receiving and processing, providing an integrated central station solution for the Europlex range.
