AgeSpan, a San Diego, California based company, has announced its Senior Assisted Monitoring Camera solution, which is designed to operate in low light conditions for monitoring relatives in nursing homes.
It is also ideal for monitoring boats, holiday homes, pets and warehouses.
As the Senior Assisted Monitoring Camera is a network camera, it does not require extra hardware such as recording equipment, tapes, and computers.
The camera can take a picture at a pre-set time and email the picture to a responsible person, for viewing on a cell phone or computer. The camera’s built in motion-detection features also allow a photo to be take and emailed when triggered by a particular event.
The Internet Protocol camera solution has low initial outlay costs and is quick to install. It does not need a separate power cord as it runs off the power provided in the Ethernet connection.
The system records up to 30 days of continuous video stream on a computer’s hard drive, eliminating the need for Digital Video Recording devices and tapes.
