Controlware boosts Warrington Collegiate’s security

Story link: Controlware boosts Warrington Collegiate’s security by Jan Harris

Controlware UK has strengthened security at Warrington Collegiate through the installation of an advanced surveillance solution.

The IP CCTV surveillance solution offers significant cost saving benefits as it can be managed in-house by the college’s IT staff.

It was installed as part of the £27 million re-development of Warrington Collegiate’s Winwick Road campus, which included the provision of a converged Next Generation Network from ntl:Telewest Business.

The CCTV solution is based on Controlware’s Cware management platform and includes video transmission and recording for 50 cameras across the site.

The platform allows operators to view and control the CCTV cameras, transmit video to CCTV monitors, initiate recordings, manage alarms, search recorded video and bookmark key events.

Since the system has been installed, vandalism and theft have decreased significantly at the college.

Controlware recently announced the appointment of Mark Harraway as Country Manager for the UK.
