3rdi provides mobile phone-based security system
Story link: 3rdi provides mobile phone-based security system by Jan Harris

3rdi will demonstrate a mobile phone-based security system at IFSEC 2007, the security event to be held at Birmingham NEC, 21-24 May.
The system is based on a small interactive mobile phone camera which provides a cost-effective alternative to CCTV for the SME and domestic market.
Once the 3rdi security system is in position, users can view live footage of their possessions whenever and from wherever they want via a mobile phone.
The camera uses infrared and motion sensors to detect an intruder and the 3rdi control centre immediately sends a text message alert to the user’s mobile phone.
The user can then view a recording of the event that triggered the alert, or view the location in real-time.
Images are stored at the 3rdi control centre for up to 30 days, so even if the mobile phone is switched off when the alert is sent, it is still possible to access footage of the event.
