Intelligent video surveillance company, DynaPel Systems, has changed its name to Nio Security.

The new name is intended to provide a consistent brand and corporate identity for its merger last year with Tempest Microsystems.

The formal launch of the new identity was made at IFSEC 2008, a security industry trade show held in Birmingham.

Product lines from the merged company include a complete range of smart video cameras, digital video recorders and image enhancement peripherals.

The EyeMax intelligent camera which incorporates advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, and a quad-camera video enhancement peripheral that allows for the unmanned operation of up to four different cameras, and two new products from Nio.

Headquartered in Florida, Nio markets its products through a worldwide network of certified dealers, distributors, system integrators, and OEMs.
