IP video and alarm management company, IndigoVision, has secured a further contract to upgrade two US casinos’ analogue CCTV systems to digital.
The contract follows two similar casino installations by IndigoVision in the US and a recent contract to upgrade a chain of 9 casinos in South America.
The latest contract involves providing IP-CCTV at Emerald Queen Casino and the Emerald Queen I-5 Casino in Tacoma, Washington, which are operated by the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.
IndigoVision’s partner, Southwest Surveillance Systems, will install 532 cameras in less than three months.
The original cameras will be re-used, but new IP video technology will replace the existing analog matrix, VCRs and video cabling.
Migration to digital will be phased so that the casinos will be able to continue operating during the installation period.
Each casino will have its own security control room, where live and recorded video from any camera in the casino will be able to be viewed via IndigoVision’s video and alarm management software.
The functionality of IndigoVision’s Control Center software, the excellent video quality and the speed at which recorded video can be accessed, were all factors which contributed to the decision to award the contract to IndigoVision.
