JVC Professional Europe has installed an advanced IP security system at Treloar College in Hampshire, a specialist college for students with physical disabilities.

The IP security systems is designed to meet the college’s future security needs, and further security cameras can be added when required.

Seventeen security cameras have been deployed around the college, and are operated via a local area network (LAN) connected to a PC server.

The server is installed with Milestone Xprotect Basis Plus software for system management.

Four existing analogue cameras are encoded using the JVC VN-A1U 1 channel IP encoders to enable the signal to be viewed on the IP system.

JVC has installed its JVC VN-C20U fixed IP cameras is outdoor locations. The cameras, which are designed to operate in low-light levels, are protected with secure, weatherproof casings, and positioned at strategic points such as near doorways and other access points.

The project is supported by the City Livery Company of Security Professionals, as well as by JVC Professional Europe.
