Bosch Security Systems has upgraded its Flexidome CCTV cameras with the inclusion of advanced 15-bit imaging technology.

The technology, which is already used in the company’s DinionXF cameras, fully utilises advanced imaging chips and supports a number of additional functions, enabling the new dome cameras to meet demanding surveillance requirements and extending the range of applications in which they can be used.

The advanced 15-bit imaging technology allows for accurate grey-scale and colour reproduction. The new Flexidome cameras include high 540 TV-line resolution and can produce extremely sharp and detailed images.

They can also operate effectively in difficult lighting conditions through advanced functions made possible by the 15-bit imaging technology. These functions include Auto Black to counteract the effects of fog or glare, NightSense to compensate for fading light, and backlight compensation to ensure clear images when viewing entrances.

Top of the range models include Bosch’s proprietary XF-Dynamic feature. This broadens dynamic range to provide accurate reproduction of all details in both high- and low-lit areas. They also include SensUp which maintains contrast and color clarity even in low light levels, and IR sensitive Day/Night to enable the camera to perform around the clock.

The cameras have robust dome enclosures and pan, tilt and zoom functionality. The IP66 and NEMA-4X approved FlexiDomeXT+ is capable of withstanding severe weather conditions. The cameras are also vandal proof. The FlexiDomeXT+ enclosure offers a choice of high-quality varifocal lenses.
