Axis Releases 223M IP Video Camera

Story link: Axis Releases 223M IP Video Camera by Jan Harris

Axis Communications is launching the 2 Megapixel 223M IP video camera with 1600×1200 resolution ensuring exceptional image detail.

The camera is supplied as standard with a precision varifocal lens to complement the high resolution.

Automatic day/night control of the iris allows the camera to be used in light conditions as low as 1.5 lux for colour and 0.2 lux for monochrome images, without compromising the quality of the image.

The 223M includes an infrared cut filter, video motion detection and alarm image buffering, two-way audio and an audio detection alarm.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) support simplifies installation and power reticulation and makes it easy to protect against mains failure. Network security, integration and future-proofing are facilitated by IPv6, Quality of Service (QoS), https protocol and IEEE 802.1x security support.
