Bosch Security Systems has launched an innovative high-performance surveillance system - the AutoDome Camera System.

The cost-effective AutoDome system comprises a series of interchangeable modules. This enable users to upgrade quickly when new innovations such as motion detection with tracking and TCP/IP connectivity become available, simply by replacing a module with a new one which incorporates the new technology.

The AutoDome system is compatible with all Bosch surveillance products and a number of competitive platforms.

AutoDome modules are fully interchangeable and the system can be adapted to meet changing conditions and security requirements without shutting off the power to the camera.

The system also provides hybrid connectivity, allowing IP and analog video to be streamed simultaneously. This ensures compatibility with existing analog systems and allows the system to be upgraded to IP either all at once, or one camera at a time.

The cameras integrate with the entire line of Bosch surveillance products, including switches, recorders and IP-based video management systems.

The cameras use MPEG-4 encoding and compression to deliver DVD-quality 4CIF (common intermediate format) video at rates of up to 30 frames per second.

AutoDome models are available which include intelligent features such as AutoTrack II automated motion tracking technology to ensure continuous tracking, even when an object passes behind a privacy mask.

The cameras are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications and are available in four models.
