Story link: Vigitron provides CCTV Video / Data / Power Combiner Hub by Jan Harris

Vigitron has released the Vi1204VPD, a passive transceiver device which combines video, PTZ data, and camera power into a single RJ-45 4-pair cable.

The device, which is designed for structured wiring applications, simplifies the installation of a CCTV system in the home and supports up to 4 cameras for up to 750 feet.

The Vi1204VPD receives low-voltage camera power from any third-party multi-output Class 2 power supply.

Each camera power output is protected with a self-resetting fuse and all equipment follows industry-standard EIA/TIA 568B pinouts.

Other features include a power present indicator for each camera; 60 dB cross talk and noise immunity; High-Density, 1U Rack-Mountable with a VI0010 panel and a limited lifetime warranty.
