Rainbow dome cameras monitor BP petrol stations in UK

Story link: Rainbow dome cameras monitor BP petrol stations in UK by Jan Harris

Cambridgeshire-based AGE Electrical Services has installed dome cameras from Rainbow at BP petrol station forecourts in the UK. AGE Electrical Services specialises in the installation of CCTV to the retail and petroleum industries.

The Rainbow HDCVF3DX 3.8~9.5mm vandal resistant colour dome cameras are intended for general surveillance of the premises and form part of BP’s wider CCTV measures for health & safety, logistics and customer protection.

The cameras are being used in conjunction with Honeywell’s Fusion DVRs - four-channel MPEG-4 encoders which accept analogue video and audio signals and convert them into a digital packet-based IP format.

The cameras are 1/3” models using a high-resolution Sony Super HAD CCD. They have a hammer-tough housing with a half-tint polycarbonate dome. The assembly is weatherproof to IP66.

The cameras operate in temperatures from 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C) and weigh 650g.
