Wireless CCTV Ltd deployed its 3G Wireless Dome Cameras to monitor the London and Kent stage of the Tour De France 2007.
The company was appointed by Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council to provide monitoring equipment for the event and the deployment proved very successful with all stakeholders satisfied with both the equipment itself and the service provided by Wireless CCTV Ltd.
Rapidly deployable 3G Wireless Dome Cameras were used because of their easy installation and remote monitoring capabilities over the 3G mobile phone network.
The cameras provided live monitoring of both crowd and the route, providing full evidential quality images which could be stored and remotely retrieved when necessary.
Wireless CCTV Ltd placed two mobile wireless CCTV cameras in the villages of Wateringbury and Hadlow to transmit images to the Police Command Unit, helping to ensure the safe passage of the cyclists and the safety of both competitors and spectators.
