Vemotion and Helimedia in video demo at air show

Story link: Vemotion and Helimedia in video demo at air show by Jan Harris

Vemotion Interactive will be at Farnborough Air show this week in conjunction with their partner Helimedia.

Vemotion technology is being demonstrated to show how real-time video can be beamed from helicopters and routed through the mobile network to mobile handsets.

The product testing is based on a pole-mounted CCTV camera overlooking the runway at Farnborough Air Show and demonstrates the Vemotion claim of being able to transmit live video images to a mobile phone to allow the user complete situational awareness – wherever they are.

In this case the video is being filmed and displayed to mobile phones.

For the purposes of this demonstration, the phones are operating over a private GSM network provided by Private Mobile Networks Ltd. (www.privatemobilenetworks.com)

This demonstration indicates the ability to support video streamed from a moving helicopter over low bandwidth network connections, making reality the claim to work over even the most challenging network conditions.

Vemotion integrates with existing fit-for-purpose infrastructure, such as CCTV cameras, personal surveillance solutions and IT equipment and servers, and is unique in its ability to work with a wide range of third party Remote Video Surveillance hardware.
