Ipsotek software installed at O2
Story link: Ipsotek software installed at O2 by Jan Harris

The O2 arena in London, which is owned by AEG Europe, has installed people-counting software from Ipsotek.
The software counts people in and out of the venue, through dedicated cameras at main entrances, providing hour-by-hour analysis of visitor numbers.
The software provides an accurate, automated headcount of either a steady-stream of day to day visitors, or a sudden influx of visitors at a high-profile event such as the Spice Girls concert in December.
The information provided is invaluable for health and safety reasons and also to help determine staffing levels.
Data is transmitted to the operations room and emails are triggered to warn when the number of visitors nears maximum occupancy levels.
The figures can be exported in a variety of formats to provide information about footfall at a given period.
