Panasonic has announced two new dome network cameras with wide angled lenses, providing an increased viewing area without having to move the camera.
The BB-HCM527 and BB-HCM547 dome network cameras both offer remote controlled 360° pan and tilt 137° functions from either a mobile phone or PC, as well as a 73 degree viewing angle.
They are also designed to be easy to install and configure, with (PoE) IEEE802.3af, which utilises just one cable to power the units and transmit images.
The BB-HDM547 is ideal for outdoor use with its IPX4 equivalent splash-resist body, and ability to withstand temperatures as low as -20° and as high as +50°.
Other features include audio 2-way Communication, night vision, analogue video output so that the system can be integrated with an existing TV, support for both MPEG-4 and JPEG video streams, and progressive scan imaging.
