Extreme CCTV’s Moondance pan-tilt-zoom camera success in China

In a notable infrastructure application, Extreme CCTV Inc’s Moondance cameras will be used at one of China's major nuclear power plants for surveillance at critical zones. Extreme's innovative Moondance camera, which is branded as Forward Vision's Mic1-400 "Metal Mickey" in China, has been recently specified for several prestigious security projects.

The sales success of the Metal Mickey in China marks an important development in Extreme's mandate to grow sales of Forward Vision products in China's security market. The company is seeing signs of growing market acceptance in every region where Moondance is promoted.

Headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, Extreme CCTV Inc. specialises in the design, development and manufacturing of advanced infrared illuminators and precision engineered video surveillance products.

In a transportation security project, the Mic1-400 is providing video imaging capability for a 3.5G wireless CCTV system for mobile surveillance linked to video analytics, a project administered by the Hong Kong Transport Department. In addition, the Mic1-400 is providing key surveillance imaging capability in event monitoring applications for the Hong Kong Legislative Council.

These projects were administered by Tung Po Hong Kong Company, the system integration partner for Forward Vision in the Chinese market. Tung Po serves high level end-users in government and commercial security applications, integrating mainly North American or European products field-proven for performance, quality and integrity.

Tung Po's market position supports Moondance's high performance brand equity, established after years of being specified for critical security applications throughout the UK.
