IP CCTV installed at St Pancras

Story link: IP CCTV installed at St Pancras by Jan Harris

Controlware Communications has provided a leading edge IP CCTV solution for St Pancras International railway station in London, which is designed to improve safety and security for both passengers and staff.

The installation of 450 cameras is part of the station’s refurbishment for the High Speed 1; the UK’s biggest ever construction project.

The new surveillance solution, which is based on IP technology, includes both static and dome cameras, IP codecs, networked storage and an advanced management platform.

The system allows video to be monitored from multiple locations. Control and monitoring can be managed from other locations on the network if there is an emergency or network failure.

It includes easy to use management tools, providing users with fast access to live and recorded video.

The system uses Bosch security products, including Videojet 8008 and VIP-X transmission codec’s, Networked Video Recording, RAID storage, and VIDOS management.
