AD Group has acquired Baxall’s intellectual property, inventory and production equipment from the company’s administrators, KPMG. The acquisition allows AD Group to supply a true end-to-end CCTV solution.
Baxall’s products will be marketed and sold by AD Group’s subsidiary, Dedicated Micros, including the Dedicated Micros CCTV product family, and ICE range of mini-domes and cameras. A number of staff from Baxall will be employed by the AD Group, to help ensure the continued development of the products acquired.
AD Group will carry out research and development activities for Baxall ICE mini-domes and cameras, at its headquarters in Daresbury headquarters. Production lines and associated equipment are being shipped to the company’s main manufacturing facility in Malta.
AD Group will provide full warranty support for the cameras which come under the agreement, for products shipped during the last six months of Baxall trading.
Baxall’s ICE-Dome cameras feature a 3-axis GyroView set-up which allows the camera to be positioned to cover any aspect of a scene.
The ICE-HyperDome is ideal for high contrast daylight or interior situations, producing images which allow individuals to be readily identified instead of producing just a silhouette image.
Dedicated Micros will continue to sell Baxall’s high resolution ICE and ICE+ ranges. It will provide the ICE IP range and will add the advanced NetVu Connected range in the medium term.
The deal covers all regions except for Australia/New Zealand.
