RapidGuard protects remote areas

Crime in rural areas is still a big issue for many people, for some it is their personal possessions and for others it affects their business as well.
Rapidguard has recently launched an innovative new product that is coming to the aid of vulnerable rural sites.
As well as stealing cars, mobile phones and purses, more and more thieves are targeting fisheries and farms for their easily sold on stock as well as diesel and any saleable plant and machinery.
George Coombes manages a large fishery in a very remote location in the Scottish Highlands.
He commented “Poaching is not a serious issue here, nor is it a regular occurrence, however, if/when poachers do strike they can cause long term damage to our fish stocks and ruin the sport for our guests.
The cost of employing enough staff to fully watch the fishery throughout the whole season, just in case poachers might strike, is very hard to justify.
On the other hand if we just removed the watchers/bailiffs then poachers would find out and the fishery would become a natural, easy target”.
It may seem that there is no realistic and affordable option for people who live in rural areas to protect their property and livestock from opportunist thieves.
Do they have guards on site 24/7 or do they set up a CCTV system and try for prosecution after the event?
RapidGuard could be the solution.
It consists of a top of the range PIR Detector on a custom built stand that allows it to be mobile yet quickly fixed into place.
When one of the detectors senses motion, it alarms back to the main control box or alternatively sends a text message to a mobile phone, so preventative action can be taken immediately.
The major benefit of using RapidGuard is that the system is totally mobile meaning the detectors can be positioned and moved regularly to make sure the right spots are covered at the right time.
RapidGuard is also “Self Protecting” with Anti-Cloak, Anti-Tamper and a Shock Sensor.
This means is that if a “Clever” thief came along who thought that he/she would just cover over the detector, it will send an alarm to the main control box to say this has happened.
The same will happen if the detector is hit, broken or even removed.
In fact there is no way to deactivate any detector without the main control box being alarmed meaning the user will always be in control.
The whole detection system is wireless meaning it can be set up in minutes, it is mobile and requires no additional laying of cables etc to get the system up and running.
This also means it is a low cost way to protect a large area.
George commented further “This season we installed two Rapid Guard systems.
“This has proved to be an excellent solution with many benefits, for example, we can be confident that no one gets near the most vulnerable parts of our fishery without us receiving an alarm 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.
“We have achieved a significant saving in staff costs and the security of the fishery is better.
“We have fewer Health & Safety issues, because we no longer have as many staff out alone, beside open water, in remote areas, in the dark.
“As we can identify which alarms are going off and when, we can actually track people’s movements.”
George Continued “The system is incredibly versatile; we can move sensors around constantly adapting it according to the movements of the fish and making sure that poachers cannot simply map the location of the sensors.
“The system is clearly a deterrent to poachers and an obvious indication to our guests that every effort is being made to look after the fish.
“Their battery use is also incredibly low. We have been running two systems now for four months and we have not had to change any batteries.”
Full technical support comes with the product which also means you will have a friendly helping hand to get the system up and running.
