Bosch Security Systems has announced a new firmware release for its IP network video products.
Firmware Release 2.5 includes a new recording scheduler with flexible profile settings. It also includes the addition of advanced features to its VCA (Video Content Analysis) software.
Security has been enhanced with the inclusion of more advanced encryption techniques.
The release also provides a new Recording Scheduler which allows up to 10 independent recording profiles to be set up and assigned to individual cameras.
A schedule can be set up with specific recording profiles for different time slots during the day. Also, different schedules can be assigned to different days of the week.
Pre- and post-alarm recording modes can be set up for each recording profile - e.g. when an alarm is triggered, the cameras monitoring the scene can be automatically switched to record at higher resolution and streaming rate, allowing more details of the event to be recorded.
Firmware Release 2.5 also includes a licensable option to enable IVMD 2.0 (Intelligent Video Motion Detection), the latest version of Bosch’s VCA software.
