RedShift Systems appoints UK distributor

Story link: RedShift Systems appoints UK distributor by Jan Harris

USA-based RedShift Systems, a supplier of low cost thermal imaging systems, has appointed Armstrong Optical of Northants as its distributor for the UK and Ireland

RedShift Systems bases its products around its Thermal Light Valve (TLV) technology. The RedShift 1160 is a long wavelength infrared camera engine. It is designed to enable OEMs to quickly introduce an affordable, high-performance thermal camera into their product lines.

The TLV integrates with off-the-shelf CMOS image sensors to provide a thermal imaging system at a significantly lower cost than is possible with competing microbolometer, amorphous silicon and ferroelectric sensors.

The low cost RedShift 1160 makes thermal imaging available in many emerging mass market applications, including Security and Surveillance. The system provides affordable imaging in complete darkness and all weather conditions.
