Quadrant Security Group has helped Huntingdonshire Council transfer its CCTV monitoring operation into a purpose-built facility.
In order to ensure that there was no gap in service, Quadrant installed the new equipment while the existing security system remained in operation at another site
Quadrant installed a fully digitised system, including 37 JVC LCD TFT screens in the new control room, to monitor a network of 120 CCTV cameras deployed across Huntingdon, St Neots, Ramsey and St Ives.
The system also features digital recording equipment, operator and supervisor consoles. Thirty-two 19-inch JVC GD-19L1G monitors were incorporated into a monitor wall, and configured to show quad displays or images from a single camera.
Five JVC GM-H40L2G 40-inch TFT monitors were integrated with X-View DPX multi image display processors from e-mediavision.com, providing flexible multi image display of CCTV video signals.
The control room is manned by two operators and one supervisor at any time.
