QED launches Midas dome camera

Story link: QED launches Midas dome camera by Jan Harris

Preston-based QED Ltd, a supplier of equipment to the UK and EU Security Industry, has launched a range of products under the ‘Midas’ brand, including a day/night vandal resistant dome camera.

The camera is designed to provide a high-level of functionality and high-quality images at an affordable price, and the company expects the product to be a popular option with its customers.

The Midas dome camera is fitted with a 1/3” Sony CCD chip to provide an exceptionally clear image with 410,000 (effective) pixels, which provide a horizontal resolution of 540 TV lines.

Together with a high-quality vari-focal lens and electronic iris this gives exceptional results even in 0.1Lux (B&W).

The camera also features a day/night function which automatically selects the mode to suit the conditions - colour for daytime, and black and white to provide greater image definition at night.

The camera can be fitted to either a wall or ceiling with a 3 way axis mount.
