Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software, held its Partner Open Platform (MPOP) event at the Heathrow Marriott Hotel June 16th and 17th, where the annual awards for outstanding achievements were revealed: GVD Limited in Ireland and King Communications & Security Limited in Scotland.

Glenn Fletcher, Sales Director for Milestone Systems UK, explains the choices: “Over the last two years while working with Milestone Systems, GVD have completely turned their business model around to focus on sales and support functions built with our Milestone Solution Partners (MSPs) and Manufacturer Alliance Partners (MAPs).

“GVD have focussed on educating the Ireland reseller channel in IP video surveillance and open platform technologies – giving out a message that is forward-thinking, and backing this up with technical support where needed.”

“GVD have re-located to new premises in Dublin and invested in a state-of-the-art Milestone demonstration room and training facilities.

“Coupled with their ability to offer the Milestone Professional training courses in their region, they have proven that distributors can make an important difference and add value to the reseller channels, explains Fletcher.

“As a direct result of this approach, they have added many more Milestone resellers in Ireland who have gone through our formal Professional Training course.

“It is for this reason that they have been chosen as our Milestone UK-I MPOP 2010 Regional Partner of the Year.”

King Communications & Security Ltd received the UK-I MPOP 2010 Platinum Partner of the Year award.

King Communications & Security have been a Milestone Partner for over four years and built a new business model focused on an IP and open platform proposition for customers’ security and telecommunication needs.
