Paqworks has announced the next generation of intelligent IP Cameras from Mobotix.
The cameras feature an embedded Linux operating system which provides significant advantages compared with conventional analogue video technology and webcams as no additional hardware is required. Everything needed to operate the cameras is built in.
Each unit can store between 2000 to 4000 individual images on an internal memory. Users can view live video directly in any SCADA package with storage on local and remote PC server or network attached storage unit (NAS).
The cameras include on board image storage, user definable motion detection, exposure detection, ftp server, email server, day and night lenses, Power over Ethernet (PoE), Megapixel resolution, IP Telephony, 30 Frames/s VGA (640×480) and IP 65 rating.
Designed to be easy to install, users simply plug in an Ethernet cable, type an IP address into a standard web browser and the camera is ready.
Each model accepts Power over Ethernet (PoE) using standard IEEE 802.3af, eliminating the need for installation of camera power supply and cabling. This saves around $300 per camera installation.
The cameras operate within a wide temperature range and have no moving parts which makes them suitable for use outdoors and in harsh environments.
