HomeCamera service allows mobile surveillance

Story link: HomeCamera service allows mobile surveillance by Brian Turner

Wireless Intellect Labs of Singapore has launched HomeCamera in the UK, a service that allows users to monitor video and images from their home via the internet.

The service is especially geared towards monitoring via mobile devices, such as 3G or WAP enabled mobile phones.

HomeCamera is billed as easy to use, with a user simply registering on the HomeCamera website, and then logging in remotely whenever they wish to view images from their home monitoring system.

The service allows updates to be sent to user mobiles on a regular basis, and even includes a motion sensor option, that will provide images whenever movement is detected on the surveillance system. Additionally, login details can be shared, allowing multiple users to access images and video on the same account.

At present the service is provided free of charge, but will offer different subscription levels from October when the service launches commercially.
