Controlware Communications has upgraded Aéroports de Paris Group’s IP CCTV transmission system at Charles de Gaulle airport. The new deployment brings the Galerie Parisienne terminal extension onto the network.
Aéroports de Paris Group is the second largest airport group in Europe, managing 14 airports and aerodromes.
The €645 million Galerie Parisienne extension, at the Group’s Charles de Gaulle airport, is the largest boarding satellite in France and security is of prime importance.
Controlware’s latest deployment at Charles de Gaulle builds on an existing relationship between Controlware and Aéroports de Paris, which started in 2003 when Controlware upgraded CCTV across the group’s airports.
As part of this initial project, Controlware supplied video codec’s enabling video from analogue cameras to be streamed over IP networks. Controlware supplied codec’s to support a total of 5461 cameras.
Aéroports de Paris’ IP CCTV solution provides video surveillance of both airside and passenger areas including: luggage sorting, check in desks, access to restricted areas, ATM cash machines, car parks and perimeter monitoring.
The system allows the company to monitor, record and manage video from thousands of analogue cameras at any location on their network and to operate a crisis center.
Controlware has now brought the Galerie Parisienne onto Aéroports de Paris’ existing IP CCTV network by deploying 150 high performance 4-port video codec’s connected to 600 cameras.
