Story link: Plustek entry-level security system launched by Jan Harris

Plustek launched an entry-level security system at the recent IFSEC exhibition in Birmingham.

The Plustek NVR4000 is designed for monitoring smaller offices and businesses such as shops and petrol stations.

The system comprises a network video recorder, which provides Motion Jpeg recordings, and can be used with up to four network cameras.

It connects directly to a network and can be operated via IP or over a LAN. Up to 14 days worth of data can be stored on the 320GB hard disc.

The system can be set to record at specified times, or when triggered by an event.

Both live and recorded images can be viewed remotely, without any interruption to recording at speeds of up to 60 frames per in VGA (640×480pixels) and 120 frames per second in QVGA (320×240 pixels).
