Vigilant Technology Launches CCTV RemoteViewer

Story link: Vigilant Technology Launches CCTV RemoteViewer by Jan Harris

Vigilant Technology has launched RemoteViewer, which allows end-users to remotely view, control and manage CCTV images over a low-bandwith.

RemoteViewer provides a high-level of functionality, allowing a user to remotely select cameras, view live images, playback recorded video and control digital zooming and PTZ cameras.

Image quality and frame rate delivery is optimised over minimal bandwiths. With a broadband connection operating at just 512kb per second, live or recorded video images can be remotely viewed in CIF resolution at 25 images per second.

Vigilant RemoteViewer features two key components: RGS (Remote Gateway Servers) are located at each of the customer’s sites and enable the video stream to be transmitted over a low bandwidth while Remote Clients provide the user interface that enables operators to control and view video.

A key feature of Vigilant RemoteViewer is that high resolution recorded video residing centrally can be remotely exported in its original form, with full authentication for evidential purposes.
