I didn't mention earlier that I had something similar. It was someone throwing things at my windows. Fortunately it happened early in the evening and was narrowed down to some local yobs (fairly young ones) who were collared by the housing association and the problem has gone for the time being.
I assume it's erratic to where you can't look for them and stake out your back garden unless you were to stay up all night. Do you suspect a specific neighbour or do you think it's some kids thinking they're being cute or funny? Have you had any run-ins with anyone? Usually it's kids with nothing better to do with themselves other than be nuisances. |

I've got a smack head living behind me who is the only one with lights on during the night and I've seen him a couple of times looking into my garden, I went out during feb to find the screws on my shed door had beenm loosened and suspected him straight away. I've tightened them now and covered with Hard as Nails. I don't want to involve the old Bill as they're pretty useless at the best of times but I know if I confront him the Bill will come down on me like a ton of bricks. Especially if I kick his teeth in...

Yeah but if he kicked your teeth in he wouldn't get half the sentence you would I bet.
Well you wouldn't have much of a problem if you targeted CCTV cameras at your shed. You might want to put a sign on the shed that it's being monitored 24/7. You could only use images or video in court if they were related to criminal activity against your property as anything else would be in violation of privacy laws. If you capture a small amount of peripheral neighbouring property it can be acceptable provided you weren't trying to target the neighbour himself. It's easier to justify since you've already had problems with someone tampering with your shed. CCTV is the only way I know to watch all night long (unless you happen to be an insomniac) |
